Sincera e honestamente, neste ano pouco me interessou o álbum de figurinhas da Copa do Mundo da África 2010. Confesso que de 1982 até 2006 todos estão guardados, devidamente classificados e à espera de uma oportunidade para doação.
O futebol atualmente tem me causado enjôo. A começar pelos tremendos pernas-de-pau que se dizem profissionais e não conseguem promover um passe correto em dois ou três metros. O talento resultou escasso, com exceção feita aos meninos que despontam no Santos, como Neymar, Ganso e André, porém a conduta dos mocinhos em nada esboça um futuro ao menos digno, pois promissor em termos financeiros tenho certeza que o será.
Mas voltando à Copa do Mundo e à nossa seleção que não conseguiu fisgar minha atenção, minha paixão de outros tempos; a começar pela postura esnobe, rancorosa e revanchista de um técnico anão (no sentido de pequenez de caráter) e metido à besta, que sequer educação suficiente para respeitar opiniões contrárias às suas possui e um grupo de jogadores fechado em torno de uma causa: a vitória; é certo que, daqui a poucos dias, quando a pátria calçar as chuteiras e a bola rolar o assunto é outro.
A paixão adormecida será reaquecida e todos estarão torcendo pelo brilho de nossa seleção. Estaremos acompanhando notícias e resultados, embalados pelo marketing emocional da programação de tevê, rádio e manchetes de jornais. O Brasil vai se cobrir de verde e amarelo. As emissoras de televisão não medirão esforços para as melhores reportagens, mesmo que as de sempre, como assistir ao jogo na casa brasileira de um craque da seleção; mostrar a rua enfeitada, uma ou outra historia de paixão avassaladora pelo futebol e assim se dará. Mas como diz meu companheiro Teté, “como eu não sei ir à velório sem chorar”, certamente estarei na torcida por mais essa conquista brasileira, afinal o Brasil, de uns tempos pra cá, deu pra fazer bonito para o mundo e não tão somente no futebol.
