REGIÃO CENTRAL É A OITAVA COLOCADA NO PIB PAULISTA
A Fundação Sistema Estadual de Análise de Dados (Seade) em conjunto com o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) acabam de divulgar o resultado da pesquisa “PIB dos Municípios Paulistas” que traz números referentes ao Produto Interno Bruto das cidades e Regiões Administrativas (RAs) de São Paulo no ano de 2007. A região central ficou na oitava posição entre as 15 pesquisadas, sendo responsável por 1,8% do PIB total do Estado. (veja gráfico abaixo)
Nas cinco primeiras posições do Estado estão a região Metropolitana de São Paulo ficou em primeiro lugar (56,4%), seguida da RA de Campinas (15,7%), São José dos Campos (5,2%), Sorocaba (4,9%), Baixada Santista (3,9%), Ribeirão Preto (2,5%) e São José do Rio Preto (2,3%). São Carlos, na oitava posição com 1,8%, ficou à frente de outras sete regiões, que somam 9,1% do total do Produto Interno Bruto estadual.
Na lista dos 20 maiores municípios do Estado em 2007 houve algumas mudanças em relação a 2006. Campinas e São Bernardo avançaram uma posição devido ao recuo de Barueri da 3ª para a 5ª posição. Já Santo André perdeu uma colocação, passando da 9ª para a 10ª posição, entre 2006 e 2007. Outro destaque é o município de Jundiaí, que subiu da 11ª para a 9ª posição, enquanto Ribeirão Preto recuou da 10ª para a 11ª colocação.
Os cinco municípios com menores PIBs do Estado mantiveram-se os mesmos no período 2006-2007: Pracinha, Nova Guataporanga, Torre de Pedra, Guarani d’Oeste e Santana da Ponte Pensa. A principal característica dessas localidades é a grande participação dos serviços na formação de seus respectivos PIBs, sobretudo os da administração pública.
Com os resultados do PIB municipal de 2007, a Fundação Seade divulga também a Tipologia do PIB dos Municípios Paulistas, que agrupa as localidades em sete categorias, considerando a participação das atividades econômicas – agropecuária, indústria e serviços – no Valor Adicionado municipal e estadual.
Nessa tipologia, destacam-se os 27 municípios com perfil multissetorial e outros 27 com perfil industrial com relevância no Estado, que, juntos, respondem por 80% do PIB paulista.
