Escola de Dourado comemora Dia da Consciência Negra
Uma série de atividades foram realizadas com os alunos sobre a cultura afro
Para celebrar o Dia da Consciência Negra, que acontece no dia 20 de novembro, a Escola de Ensino Municipal “Antônio Monteiro Novo”, realizou nesta semana um projeto em comemoração à data.
Entre as atividades, foi apresentada mostra de capoeira, coordenada pela educadora física, Juliana Pereira, e o professor da modalidade, Eduardo Castilho. Nesta atividade os alunos tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer um pouco mais da arte, tipicamente afro, seus movimentos, origem, extensões e instrumentos.
Foi apresentado também um filme sobre Consciência Negra, onde os alunos puderam entender melhor o motivo e história da data, além de conhecer a influência africana na formação do povo brasileiro e em todo seu complexo cultural.
Além disso, diversas outras atividades e trabalhos pedagógicos foram aplicados pelos professores em sala de aula.
Segundo a coordenação da escola, os objetivos deste projeto são valorizar a cultura afro, tratar o assunto de forma lúdica e sem discriminações, combatendo o preconceito em sala de aula, além de proporcionar aos alunos conhecimento sobre o tema, lembrando as lutas e desafios que os negros enfrentaram por muitas décadas.
A Escola Municipal “Antônio Monteiro Novo” fica localizada no Jardim Novo Dourado, conhecido como Casas Populares, e atende alunos do primeiro ao quinto ano do Ensino Fundamental.
Dia da Consciência Negra – O Dia da Consciência Negra é uma data celebrada no Brasil no dia 20 de novembro. Este dia está incluído na semana da Consciência Negra e tem como objetivo uma reflexão sobre a introdução dos negros na sociedade brasileira.
O dia 20 de novembro foi escolhido como uma homenagem a Zumbi dos Palmares, data na qual morreu, lutando pela liberdade do seu povo no Brasil, em 1695. Zumbi, líder do Quilombo dos Palmares, foi um personagem que dedicou a sua vida lutando contra a escravatura no período do Brasil Colonial, onde os escravos começaram a ser introduzidos por volta de 1594. Um quilombo é uma região que tinha como função lutar contra as doutrinas escravistas e também de conservar elementos da cultura africana no Brasil.
