De acordo com estimativa dos organizadores, cerca de 10 mil pessoas compareceram na noite de abertura

Conforme promessa e uma árdua luta do prefeito Fabrício Vanzelli (DEM) para liberar o rodeio em touros na abertura da Primeira Festa do Peão, o Boi pulou em Trabiju.
De acordo com estimativa dos organizadores, cerca de 10 mil pessoas compareceram na noite de abertura. Além de poderem assistir a dezenas de montarias em touro, o público se deliciou com a apresentação da dupla sertaneja Matogrosso e Mathias. Os sertanejos desfilaram durante uma hora meia os grandes sucessos da dupla original e os novos gravados com o jovem Mathias. O novo integrante demonstrou qualidade vocal e deu um show no palco. Em Trabiju, Matogrosso anunciou que naquele dia estava completando 40 anos de carreira e também fez num gigantesco telão de led o lançamento do CD/DVD da dupla.
Na abertura, a cargo do competente locutor Nivaldo Texano, foram chamados à arena o prefeito Fabrício que entrou acompanhado do filho Matheus; a presidente da Câmara Vânia Bruno Evangelista, que na ocasião representou o legislativo trabijuense; tropeiros, peões, proprietário da TM Rodeio e o padre Ricardo Alexandre que fez a benção do recinto, peões e publico.
Na sequência, o prefeito agradeceu aos presentes, patrocinadores, organizadores, vereadores e disse também do grande esforço e da colaboração de todos para a realização do evento. Falou que a festa estava acontecendo graças ao grande apoio de seus familiares e dos patrocinadores que colaboram financeiramente para a sua realização. “Foi uma árdua luta para chegarmos até aqui e se não fossem os meus muitos amigos, colaboradores e familiares, nada disso estaria acontecendo. Sem contar a grande luta jurídica para liberar as montarias que estavam proibidas a mais de 20 anos aqui em Trabiju. Me sinto orgulhoso de estar prefeito nesse grande acontecimento e por estarmos podendo proporcionar grandes shows e também o tão esperado rodeio que tinha sido banido da cidade. Para finalizar quero agradecer essa dezena de milhares de pessoas que compareceram para dar ainda mais brilho ao evento”, falou Fabrício.
