O jovem aluno Rafael da Gama Costa, do 8º ano da Escola Municipal “Professora Maria Apparecida de Sousa Campos”, localizada em Guarapiranga, distante a 13 km de Ribeirão Bonito, conquistou a Medalha de Bronze na 11ª Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática nas Escolas Públicas (OBMEP), realizada esse ano. É a segunda vez seguida que o estudante recebe a mesma premiação.
Rafael realizou a primeira fase da OBMEP na própria instituição de ensino e a segunda etapa na Escola Estadual “Dr. Pirajá da Silva”.
A professora de matemática do garoto, Sabrina Sartori da Rocha Delbue, o acompanhou em todas as etapas e destacou o empenho de Rafael. “O Rafael é um aluno muito esforçado e dedicado, tem um comportamento exemplar e está sempre atento nas aulas. Esse mérito, receber a medalha de bronze, é justo e acredito em um futuro brilhante do Rafael, pois tem potencial”, observou a educadora. A premiação acontecerá em 2016.
A OBMEP é uma realização do Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) e tem como objetivo estimular o estudo da matemática e revelar talentos na área.
A escola também ficou entre as ganhadoras do material didático da OBMEP 2015 devido ao desempenho de seus alunos.
Mais ganhadores – Devido ao bom desempenho, outros dois estudantes, Thais Silvestre Correia, da Escola Municipal “Coronel Pinto Ferraz”, e Vinicius Nepomuceno Oliveira, da Escola Estadual “Dr. Pirajá da Silva”, receberão certificados de Menção Honrosa.
