Ribeirão Bonito inaugura usina de triagem e reciclagem de lixo
Unidade contribuirá para a diminuição da poluição ambiental e cumpra as exigências da Lei nº12.305

Foi inaugurada na manhã desta sexta-feira (12) a usina de triagem de resíduos sólidos urbanos com o reaproveitamento dos materiais recicláveis, localizada no antigo aterro sanitário.
O prefeito Wilson Forte Junior (PMDB) destacou a importância da usina, ao citar que foram realocados recursos do orçamento para a abertura do processo licitatório que culminou com a contratação da EAC Vidas, empresa parceira e responsável pelo trabalho de triagem, reciclagem e destino final aos resíduos sólidos urbanos de Ribeirão Bonito e Guarapiranga.
Éder Custódio, diretor da EAC Vidas afirmou que Ribeirão Bonito, com a implantação deste projeto entra para a história, uma vez que apenas 16% dos municípios brasileiros conseguiram concretizar o sistema de triagem, reciclagem e destinação final aos resíduos sólidos urbanos. “É um grande passo para a sustentabilidade”, disse.
Forte comentou sobre a lei e a determinação. “Em cumprimento à Lei nº 12.305, de 2 de agosto de 2010 que institui a Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos, buscamos a implantação desta usina, uma vez que órgãos fiscalizadores como a CETESB e o DPRN já ameaçavam a interdição deste local e a aplicação de multas diárias, pois as valas para o aterramento do lixo in natura se esgotavam e a capacidade de receber o lixo diário se esgotaria em questão de dias”, observou.
A solenidade contou com a presença dos vereadores Regivaldo da Silva Rodrigues (PSDB), José Sebastião Baldan (PMDB) e Marcelo Antonio Lolatto (PMDB), diretores municipais de governo, a primeira dama Heloisa Torrezan Forte, professores da rede municipal de educação e cerca de 25 alunos da EMEI “Lélia Cecília Torrezan Gaudino Lucato”, que plantaram 60 mudas de árvores, entre frutíferas e nativas, simbolizando o respeito ao equilíbrio ambiental, que é a principal justificativa do projeto que hoje se implantou.
Ao final da solenidade, o padre João Francisco Trovilho Morales levou suas bênçãos ao projeto.
Lei – A Lei foi sancionada em 2010 e determina que as prefeituras deveriam ter concluído, até 2 agosto de 2014, a destinação adequada para o lixo que não possui qualquer possibilidade de reaproveitamento. Entre as medidas possíveis estão a construção de aterro sanitário ou a incineração com baixo impacto ambiental. Sem o cumprimento da lei, os municípios ficam sujeitos a multas e ações na Justiça por crime ambiental. “Sancionada em 2 de agosto de 2010, ela determina ações como a extinção dos lixões do País, além da implantação da reciclagem, reuso, compostagem, tratamento do lixo e coleta seletiva nos municípios”, conta Candido.
Pela Lei, a partir do último domingo (3), as prefeituras que permitem o lixo a céu aberto podem responder por crime ambiental, com aplicação de multas de até R$ 50 milhões, além do risco de não receberem mais verbas do governo federal. Os prefeitos, por sua vez, correm o risco de perder o mandato.
Nacional – O Brasil tem atualmente 2.202 municípios com aterros sanitários, o que representa 39,5% das cidades do País. Apesar de mais da metade das cidades ainda terem lixões, 60% do volume de resíduos já está com destinação adequada.
Quem não cumprir a legislação estará submetido às punições previstas na Lei de Crimes Ambientais, que prevê multa de R$ 5 mil a R$ 50 milhões. Uma das alternativas para as cidades que não cumpriram a meta seria buscar um acordo com o Ministério Público, que fiscaliza a execução da lei, e firmar um Termo de Ajustamento de Conduta (TAC).
