Primeiro grupo formado só por mulheres completa o Caminho da Fé

Iniciativa partiu de um casal que reside em Ribeirão Bonito e contou com dez ciclistas

Um grupo de ciclistas formado só por mulheres completou no dia 29 de maio o Caminho da Fé. Foi a primeira vez que este feito foi registrado o que chamou a atenção de muitos ciclistas que faziam o percurso durante o feriado de Corpus Christi (.
A organização foi do casal Fernando Jesus e Vera Lúcia, moradores de Ribeirão Bonito e integrantes do Grupo Rota RB, e teve o apoio logístico e técnico do também ciclista Galego Mascaro, outro incentivador do esporte na região.
O grupo formado por 10 meninas de Poços de Caldas, Mococa, São Paulo, Igaraçu do Tietê, Telemaco Borba (PR) e São José dos Campos completaram 330 Km em quatro dias e meio. Partiram de Águas da Prata no dia 25 de maio e chegaram em Aparecida no dia 29 de maio.
Além da distância, elas enfrentaram frio intenso e grandes subidas. Chegaram a subir 3 mil metros em um único dia. Todas completaram o percurso e receberam no final o Certificado de Peregrino, comprovante emitido pela Basílica de Aparecida atestando a conclusão do percurso.
Elas também receberam vários elogios inclusive da Direção da Associação que organiza o Caminho da Fé.
Esse feito só foi possível devido a dedicação de Vera Lúcia, administradora da comunidade Elas no Pedal no Facebook e proprietária da empresa Azimute tours, especializada em cicloturismo e trekking.
Vera Lúcia sempre foi uma divulgadora do ciclismo para as mulheres e a formação do grupo e a conclusão do percurso foi a realização de um sonho antigo.
Para as meninas que completaram o percurso foi uma lição de superação e da força feminina.
