Newton Lima e Padilha acompanham entrega de novo medicamento
Evento aconteceu em Embu das Artes nesta quinta-feira (12)
O deputado federal Newton Lima (PT-SP) e o ministro da Saúde, Alexandre Padilha, participaram nesta quinta-feira (12), em Embu das Artes, da entrega do primeiro lote do medicamento utilizado para evitar a rejeição a órgãos transplantados com produção 100% nacional, o imunossupressor Tacrolimo. O evento também marcou o início das obras da fábrica do laboratório Libbs para medicamentos biológicos.
A produção do Tacrolino é o resultado de parceria firmada com o Ministério em 2009 com a transferência de tecnologia para o laboratório Farmanguinhos/Fiocruz. O instituto acompanhou todo o processo de produção do medicamento para internalizar as técnicas e o conhecimento tecnológico da empresa privada.
“Produzir um medicamento 100% nacional é um salto de extrema importância para a indústria brasileira, com impacto na geração de mercado para todo o Brasil, além de garantir segurança aos pacientes atendidos pelo SUS”, afirmou Padilha, durante a solenidade. Ele lembrou que o Brasil está entre os países que mais realizam transplantes do mundo. “Nenhum país fez mais de 24 mil transplantes gratuitos pelo SUS, como o Brasil fez”, afirmou Padilha.
“O governo da presidenta Dilma inaugurou um novo modelo para a produção de medicamentos biológicos que irá marcar a soberania do Brasil neste setor”, destacou Newton Lima.
Biológicos – A nova fábrica da Libbs será uma das primeiras plantas industriais brasileiras para a produção de medicamentos biológicos, considerados estratégicos pelo SUS. Os investimentos foram retomados após serem firmadas as Parcerias para o Desenvolvimento Produtivo (PDP’s), que garantem a compra, pelo Ministério, dos medicamentos por cinco anos e, em contrapartida, os laboratórios privados transferem as tecnologias aos públicos.
O medicamento biológico é feito a partir de material vivo e manufaturado em processos que envolvem medicina personalizada e biologia molecular. Representam 5% do total da oferta pública de medicamentos e consomem 43% dos gastos do governo federal com medicamentos (aproximadamente R$ 4 bilhões/ano).
