O comerciante e proprietário do Supermercado Araújo, até o momento identificado como Juninho Araújo, foi baleado após fechar as portas do estabelecimento, por volta das 22h desta segunda-feira (30) no bairro Nova Bocaina II, em Bocaina. A vítima foi socorrida às pressas, mas levada já sem vida para o hospital.
Segundo a Polícia Militar (PM), um grupo de cinco indivíduos, um deles em uma moto, parou em frente ao estabelecimento e um deles chamou o comerciante até a porta de vidro do local. Quando ele se aproximou, o suspeito sacou uma arma e atirou. A bala atravessou o vidro e atingiu a cabeça da vítima. O grupo fugiu em seguida.
Populares que estavam no local relatam que o comerciante foi resgatado já sem vida pela equipe de socorro. A PM suspeita que a arma utilizada seja de grosso calibre e que os indivíduos tenham tentado assaltar o supermercado, mas não descartam a possibilidade de um “acerto de contas”. A perícia será realizada para confirmar as informações e o caso segue sob investigação.
Devido a este incidente, as lojas da Rede Araújo, sendo esta em Bocaina, de propriedade da vítima, e a outra em Dourado, do seu tio Natal Araújo, estarão fechada neste último dia do ano. A unidade de Ribeirão Bonito, também de Natal Araújo ficará aberta como programada, mas o sorteio de um carro 0 Km e outros brindes foram adiados para uma outra data ainda não definida.
