Dourado faz bonito no Dia do Desafio
Cidade competiu com a cidade de Katira, estado de Alajuela, Costa Rica, e venceu
O município de Dourado participou no dia 27 de maio do Dia do Desafio, campanha mundial que tem como proposta despertar o interesse das pessoas pela prática de esportes e atividades físicas, por meio de uma competição entre cidades e fez bonito.
O desafio é um movimento comunitário que envolve poderes públicos, instituições privadas e cidadãos trabalhando em parceria para mobilizar o maior percentual de participantes em relação ao seu total de habitantes.
Em sua 22ª edição, a população douradense aderiu mais uma vez e participou em grande número. Foram cadastradas no total 3.200 participações.
A Prefeitura Municipal e o Departamento de Esportes fizeram sua parte e promoveram atividades exclusivas para os mais de mil alunos da rede municipal de ensino. Os estudantes se reuniram no Estádio Municipal Parque São Pedro para a prática de modalidades esportivas, recreativas e físicas.
Foram também cadastradas as participações de atividades feitas em academias, hotéis e algumas empresas, além daqueles que praticaram algum tipo de exercício em grupo ou individualmente.
Neste ano Dourado competiu com a cidade de Katira, estado de Alajuela, Costa Rica. Segundo o site oficial do evento, Dourado teve 37,18% de sua população praticando atividades físicas, contra 35,24% da cidade costa-riquenha.
O intuito maior para a cidade vencedora é a melhoria da qualidade de vida de seus habitantes, mostrando que a competição é apenas um estímulo a participação.
A adesão ao Dia do Desafio demonstra a disposição da comunidade em mobilizar seus cidadãos para uma vida saudável, pois através desse movimento, indivíduos, grupos, instituições privadas e públicas estabelecem objetivos comuns, que servirão para enriquecer e desenvolver os valores da cidadania em crianças, jovens, adultos e idosos.
