Newton Lima apoia Eleições Limpas
Deputado afirma que a possibilidade de acabar com o financiamento das campanhas por parte de empresas pode fazer história
O deputado federal Newton Lima (PT-SP), formalizou nesta sexta-feira (20) em São Paulo seu apoio ao Projeto de Lei 6.316/2013 que pede Eleições Limpas.
O Movimento Suprapartidário de Coalizão Pela Reforma Política Democrática e Eleições Limpas, que tem apoio da CNBB, OAB, UNE, CUT, CONIC, Plataforma dos Movimentos Sociais pela Reforma Política e outra dezenas de entidades, num total de 43, lançou hoje na Faculdade de Direito do Largo São Francisco (USP), um painel com o nome dos 70 deputados federais do Estado de São Paulo, para que os que apoiam o movimento possam assinalar o “a favor”.
O movimento pede, principalmente, o fim do financiamento das campanhas eleitorais por parte das empresas e a reforma política. Em seu discurso aos estudantes Newton Lima chamou a faculdade de direito de “templo da democracia“. “Mais uma vez os estudantes abraçam uma campanha de maior significado para mudança das estruturas políticas eleitorais do Brasil. Dois fatos esta semana mostram a importância da luta que essas entidades vêm fazendo, que revelam com clareza como o poder econômico atua no dia a dia da ação parlamentar. Estamos fazendo dois embates importantes – um foi vitorioso que pedia o fim da multa dos 10% do FGTS – , que prejudicaria os investimentos do “Minha Casa Minha Vida” e o outro, ainda estamos lutando contra o Projeto de Lei 4330, que propõe a regulamentação da terceirização no Brasil”.
Sobre a possibilidade de acabar com o financiamento das campanhas por parte de empresas, Newton Lima disse que esse Movimento pode fazer história. “O poder econômico interferindo no parlamento cada vez mais afasta o trabalhador e o povo brasileiro; distorce a representação e portanto afronta a democracia. Essa nossa luta é uma luta que certamente pode e deve fazer com que tenhamos uma nova história da política brasileira e da representação do nosso parlamento”, finalizou.
