Newton Lima debate melhoria do Ensino Médio com secretários estaduais
O parlamentar será o relator dos seminários que acontecerão em São Paulo para discutir o tema
O deputado federal Newton Lima (PT-SP) participou, nesta quarta-feira (14), de audiência pública na Comissão Especial que estuda a reformulação do Ensino Médio. Além dos parlamentares, também participaram da audiência os secretários de Educação de São Paulo, Ceará e Minas Gerais.
A secretária de Educação de Minas, Ana Lúcia Almeida Gazzola, destacou a importância do tempo integral de estudos e a flexibilidade no currículo. “O currículo tem que ser flexível. O jovem não aceita mais receitas prontas. O papel do professor é ser filtro, mapa e bússola do aluno”, declarou.
Para Herman Jacobus Cornelis Voodwarld, secretário de Educação de São Paulo, outro entrave é a violência aos professores. “Milhares de professores estão fora da sala de aula porque estão fazendo mediação de conflitos”, observou. A violência, segundo ele, é tamanha que desestimula o acesso de jovens à carreira na educação. Maria Izolda Coelho, secretária de educação do Ceará, lamentou que os alunos ingressem no Ensino Médio com uma educação deficitária e que após três anos continuem fracos ou piores no desempenho escolar.
Para Newton Lima, os profissionais serão estimulados e a violência contra os professores reduzida, se houver investimento financeiro, o que não deve acontecer com o aumento de impostos. “Isto só irá acontecer se for aprovado o projeto de lei que destina 100% dos royalties do petróleo para a Educação”, salientou.
Newton Lima, que é membro da Comissão Especial, será o relator regional em São Paulo dos seminários estaduais que abordarão os diagnósticos, ações e propostas sobre a reformulação do Ensino Médio. Os encontros nos Estados acontecerão já a partir deste mês. “Com os seminários iremos verificar iniciativas de sucesso e aquelas que precisam de correção”, enfatizou.
