O deputado federal Newton Lima (PT-SP) esteve nas cidades de Mococa e Vargem Grande do Sul na quinta-feira (21), se reuniu com autoridades municipais, estudantes e educadores.
Em Mococa, visitou a prefeita Maria Edna Maziero que assumiu a Prefeitura recentemente. O deputado orientou a equipe da Prefeitura a produzir um estudo sócio-econômico sobre a cidade. “Com esse estudo em mãos vocês poderão pleitear, com base em dados concretos, cursos técnicos e outras necessidades para a cidade”, falou. “O deputado está muito próximo do governo federal, é um grande articulador e está nos auxiliando bastante”, disse a prefeita.
Newton Lima também ministrou uma palestra sobre o Plano Nacional de Educação (PNE) na Faculdade da Fundação de Ensino de Macoca (Fafem) para alunos do curso de pedagogia. Disse que é fundamental que os futuros professores se engajem na luta pela destinação da riqueza do petróleo para a Educação. “Essa será a única maneira de valorizar a Educação e de colocarmos em prática o Plano Nacional de Educação que está sendo apreciado no Senado”, salientou.
Lílian Cristina Rodrigues, estudante do 5º semestre de Pedagogia, disse que é confortante saber que o deputado defende a Educação em Brasília. “Significa que não estamos sozinhos”, comemorou. Já Rafisa Roberta de Souza, professora no curso de Pedagogia, manifestou satisfação por saber da atuação do deputado Newton Lima. “Ele entende do que está falando, as 20 metas do PNE são objetivas. Ele é uma pessoa preocupada com a Educação”, frisou.
O presidente da Fafem, Eduardo Barison, disse que a presença do deputado mostrou a importância de Mococa no cenário nacional e que o convite para a palestra teve o objetivo de estimular os alunos quanto à importância da Educação. “A Fafem atua principalmente na formação de pedagogos e a palestra do deputado é fundamental para animar os futuros professores”, completou o diretor de Educação da Faculdade, Jorge dos Santos.
Vargem Grande do Sul – Newton Lima participou de um jantar na cidade de Vargem Grande do Sul com 10 prefeitos da região e mais de 30 vereadores. No encontro, o deputado reafirmou seu compromisso com os prefeitos de trabalhar para aumentar, cada vez mais, o diálogo dos gestores municipais com o governo federal. “Falo isso como deputado, mas também como ex-prefeito, porque sei das dificuldades do gestor municipal, que durante muitos anos ficou com o ônus dos serviços prestados à população, mas deixou de receber os recursos necessários”, disse.
