Disputando por Araraquara, Claudiano Alves da Silva e José Máximo Teixeira, o Balu conquistaram juntos cinco medalhas.
Claudiano competiu nas categorias 1500, 800 e 400 metros na categoria T36, onde conquistou ouro nas duas primeiras corridas e prata na última.
Balu conseguiu dois bronzes competindo pela categoria T46 nos 1500 e 800 metros.
Claudiano e Balu são velocistas e competem pela Equipe de Atletismo para pessoas especiais (PCD) de Araraquara, pois em Ribeirão Bonito a falta de infraestrutura física impossibilita que os atletas possam treinar e levar o nome da cidade para diversas regiões do país e do mundo.
