As mudanças nos preços dos combustíveis serão mais frequentes para acompanhar com mais agilidade a cotação internacional do petróleo, disse nesta terça-feira (5) o Ministro da Fazenda, Guido Mantega. Ele evitou dizer se o governo cogita, para breve, um novo reajuste da gasolina e do óleo diesel, mas informou que o governo alterou a política de preços da Petrobras.
“Nós acabamos de dar um aumento para a gasolina, então não me parece oportuno falarmos em novo reajuste. Agora, a nossa tendência será acompanhar, cada vez mais, a evolução dos preços do petróleo, porque o preço dos combustíveis tem de ter uma correlação com o preço internacional do barril. Esse é o valor que a Petrobras paga quando importa derivados”, disse Mantega.
De acordo com o ministro, nos últimos cinco anos, os preços dos combustíveis aumentaram 85% nas refinarias. No mesmo período, a inflação oficial pelo Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo (IPCA) somou 60%. Ele esclareceu que esses reajustes, na época, não foram repassados aos consumidores porque o governo compensou as altas de preços com reduções na Contribuição de Intervenção no Domínio Econômico (Cide).
Apesar do aumento superior à inflação nas refinarias, o ministro ressaltou que os preços internacionais do petróleo provocaram impacto nas contas da Petrobras nos últimos anos. “O problema foi a cotação internacional do petróleo, que subiu mais que os preços nas refinarias, então houve descolamento no preço para importar a gasolina”, avaliou.
Mantega recusou-se a comentar as declarações da presidenta da Petrobras, Graça Foster. Em entrevista coletiva para comentar o balanço da estatal, ela disse que considerava insuficiente o aumento de 6,6% no preço da gasolina e de 5,4% do preço do diesel nas refinarias. Sobre a queda de 8% nas ações ordinárias (com direito a voto) da estatal hoje na Bolsa de Valores de São Paulo, o ministro declarou apenas que oscilações nos preços de ações são naturais.
“Em renda variável, isso costuma acontecer. Eles [os preços das ações] vinham subindo há semanas, aí caem em outra semana. Às vezes, o fator é externo. Ontem, por exemplo, as bolsas estavam caindo no mundo todo”, argumentou.
O ministro deu as declarações depois de se reunir por mais de duas horas com a presidenta Dilma Rousseff. Mantega não informou se a política de combustíveis foi discutida no encontro.
