Homem é preso suspeito de envolvimento na morte do prefeito de Ribeirão Bonito

Ele foi detido na capital paulista por investigadores da Delegacia Seccional de São Carlos

A Polícia Civil prendeu na noite de quinta-feira (2) um homem suspeito de envolvimento na morte do prefeito de Ribeirão Bonito (SP). Ele foi detido na capital paulista e trazido para o Centro de Triagem de São Carlos na madrugada desta sexta (3).
O vigilante Cícero Alves Peixoto, de 56 anos, foi detido por investigadores da delegacia seccional de São Carlos que cumpriram um mandado de prisão temporária.
O suspeito foi levado para a Delegacia de Investigações Gerais (DIG) para prestar depoimento nesta manhã. Até a publicação desta reportagem, ele não havia apresentado advogado.
Segundo informações do boletim de ocorrência, o homem mora em São Paulo e estava em São Carlos no dia do crime. O carro dele, um Honda Fit preto, foi apreendido.
O G1 ainda não conseguiu falar com o delegado responsável pelo caso. A Polícia Civil informou que terá uma coletiva ainda nesta tarde.
O inquérito, que tem o apoio da Delegacia de Investigações Gerais (DIG) de São Carlos, segue em sigilo por determinação da Justiça.
O prefeito Francisco José Campaner (PSDB), o Chiquinho Campaner, foi assassinado com quatro tiros no dia 26 de dezembro do ano passado. O corpo dele foi enterrado um dia depois em Ribeirão Bonito.

O crime

Chiquinho Campaner foi morto em uma estrada de terra na zona rural, na entrada do município. Os tiros atingiram a cabeça, o peito e o corpo do prefeito que morreu no local.
No ataque, o chefe de gabinete, Edmo Gonçalo Marchetti e Ary Santa Rosa também foram baleados. Os dois tiveram ferimentos, foram levados para o hospital e já tiveram alta.
O lavrador Claudinei Bonani foi o primeiro a chegar ao local do crime e ligou para a polícia. “Vi o prefeito caído, juntamente com o Edmo [chefe de gabinete], pedindo socorro”.
Segundo a Polícia Civil, o prefeito não tinha registrado boletim de ocorrência relatando algum tipo de ameaça.
Campaner estava no primeiro mandato como prefeito, após ter sido vereador em Ribeirão Bonito. Ele era solteiro e não tinha filhos. De acordo a sobrinha Karina Campaner Rodrigues, ele era alegre, gostava de brincar e contar piadas.
