O Carnaval em Ribeirão Bonito foi marcado por uma homenagem ao Jornal Correio D´Oeste pela Escola de Samba “Unidos de Ribeirão Bonito” e dos desfiles dos blocos.
O sambista Elvandez Luís levou para a rua o samba enredo “Centenário de Glória nas Páginas da História”, em homenagem ao jornal Correio D´Oeste, centenário veículo de comunicação local que teve suas atividades definitivamente encerradas em meado do ano passado.
A Escola de Samba “Unidos de Ribeirão Bonito” contagiou e esparramou alegria ao longo do tradicional caminho da rua São Paulo até a dispersão na Praça da Matriz.
Os tradicionais blocos também se fizeram presentes, além de fantasias individuais e intensa participação da população que mostrou, mais uma vez, que Ribeirão Bonito tem carnaval e carnaval é na rua.
Vale destacar a paz que reinou durante os dois dias de desfiles, tanto no domingo (11) quanto na terça-feira (13). O que não faltou foi alegria e descontração.
