Adoro quando me chamam de ignorante. É através da ignorância que somos capazes de crescer em todas as áreas da nossa vida. Se você perguntar a um sábio sobre seu nível de inteligência ele dirá que está no nível da ignorância.

Precisamos cultivar nossa ignorância temporária, porque a partir dessa ideia corremos atrás do aprendizado que precisamos, abrimos nossa mente para as novidades, o conhecimento e à evolução humana.

Profissionalmente também é a mesma lógica. Só quem se considera ignorante aprende, porque quem acha que já aprendeu tudo decreta a falência do próprio desenvolvimento.

Uma vez fui palpitar na profissão de um empresário e o ouvi dizer: “Se eu precisasse dos seus conselhos para ter sucesso na vida não teria construído este grande império”. Dois anos depois o restaurante dele quebrou, e quando fui falar com ele na época era para informar que os clientes reclamavam da carne fria e do mau atendimento dos garçons.

Muita gente apanha da vida por ser arrogante e ter excesso de autossuficiência. Precisamos de autoconfiança, amor próprio e dependermos cada vez menos da opinião dos outros, mas isso não vale para o aprendizado. Só crescemos quando nos consideramos leigos, por maior que seja a nossa formação.

Há pessoas que nunca cursaram uma faculdade e não possuem títulos nem diplomas, mas elas têm muita experiência, vincos na cara e calos nas mãos, que geralmente são os maiores diplomas que alguém pode portar. Porém, por falta de papel que prove quase nunca são ouvidas.

Conserve sua ignorância e agradeça toda vez que alguém lhe classificar como ignorante.

Depois disso, assuma essa ignorância temporária e corra atrás do que precisa aprender, lembrando que você não tem obrigação de saber tudo sobre tudo, mas precisa saber muito sobre uma ou duas coisas, e um pouco de cada coisa.
