Incêndio da Boate Kiss: 127 continuam internados, 71 em estado crítico

O Ministro da Saúde, Alexandre Padilha, anunciou nesta quinta-feira (31) a criação de um gabinete de crise da Força Nacional do SUS em Porto Alegre, para atuar em conjunto com o gabinete instalado em Santa Maria (RS) no acompanhamento dos pacientes hospitalizados, vítimas do incêndio que consumiu a Boate Kiss, no domingo (27) passado. Ainda há 127 internados, 71 em estado crítico e, segundo o ministro, correndo risco de morrer.
Dos pacientes internados, 20 são considerados grandes queimados e 51 tiveram comprometimento pulmonar. O incêndio causou a morte de 235 pessoas. Segundo o Ministro, as ações da pasta permanecerão no estado até o dia 18 de fevereiro, quando será feita uma avaliação das necessidades.
Ao apresentar balanço sobre a situação das vítimas do incêndio, Alexandre Padilha disse também que a segunda etapa do atendimento foi iniciada, com ênfase nas ações dirigidas para a recuperação dos pacientes críticos e no suporte psicológico aos familiares e amigos das vítimas. Ao todo, 577 vítimas do incêndio foram atendidas em Santa Maria desde domingo. Há 120 profissionais de saúde mental para o atendimento de familiares e amigos das vítimas.
O Ministro da Saúde fez um alerta para que as pessoas que presenciaram o incêndio fiquem atentas a sintomas como tosse, cansaço e falta de ar, pois podem ser sinais tardios de comprometimento dos pulmões. Ele reforça que, com o passar do tempo, fica mais raro ter alguma complicação, mas ainda é preciso atenção.
Padilha lembrou da história de uma funcionária da boate que se escondeu no freezer durante o incêndio. “Ela voltou para casa e, só na noite do dia seguinte, a mãe percebeu que a respiração da menina estava ofegante. Depois de algum tempo, levou a filha para o atendimento médico, onde imediatamente ela teve que receber ventilação mecânica, mas já recebeu alta”, contou.
