Parentes de vítimas do incêndio da Boate Kiss, em Santa Maria (RS), reuniram-se na manhã deste sábado (9) no Colégio Marista para discutir a criação de uma associação que represente seus interesses. Segundo Adherbal Alves Ferreira, um dos pais que lidera o movimento, o objetivo é garantir apoio psicológico e jurídico às famílias. Ferreira perdeu a filha Jennefer Mendes Ferreira, 22 anos, que era estudante de psicologia, na tragédia que ocorreu na madrugada do último dia 27 e deixou 238 mortos.
“Fizemos um cadastro preliminar na reunião de hoje com 199 parentes. Ainda não estamos na fase de apontar culpados, ainda é cedo para isso, mas queremos proporcionar o amparo psicológico e jurídico às nossas famílias”, disse ele após o encontro, acrescentando que a ideia foi bem recebida pela maioria dos parentes, embora “a situação ainda esteja muito à flor da pele”.
Ferreira informou que o grupo está sendo apoiado pela Defensoria Pública do Rio Grande do Sul e por advogados que vão ajudar a elaborar um estatuto para formalizar a associação. Uma nova reunião está marcada para o próximo dia 23.
Para o defensor público do Rio Grande do Sul, Andrey Regis de Melo, que também participou do encontro deste sábado, a organização formal das famílias pode tornar mais efetiva a garantia dos seus direitos, como no caso de ação indenizatória. Segundo ele, o grupo vai analisar a experiência de associações constituídas por parentes de vítimas de tragédias aéreas no Brasil, que negociam na Justiça a responsabilidade pelas mortes, o valor e a forma de pagamento das indenizações.
“Ainda é muito precoce falarmos nisso, porque o inquérito policial está em andamento, mas acreditamos que a criação da associação também pode servir como um marco para a fiscalização e a prevenção de tragédias”, disse.
