Perigo nas rodovias: animais soltos podem provocar acidentes
Neste ano, foram registradas 11 ocorrências onde houve choque entre veículos e bichos nas estradas da região

Embora façam parte do cotidiano das estradas, certos “frequentadores” podem se tornar perigosos caso o motorista não saiba como lidar com eles. Acidentes com animais, por exemplo, são mais comuns do que se pensa, principalmente nas rodovias próximas a zonas rurais. Colidir com um cavalo é muito pior do que pode parecer. Em muitos casos, a batida pode destruir o veículo, com consequências fatais para seus ocupantes. Mas se engana quem acha que só os animais de grande porte são perigosos. Desviar bruscamente de um cachorro quando se está a 120 km/h é uma manobra que pode terminar fora da pista.
Neste ano, segundo dados da Polícia Rodoviária, até a sexta-feira (11), foram registrados 11 acidentes envolvendo veículos e animais nas estradas da região, sendo seis na Rodovia Washington Luís (SP-310), apenas um teve vítimas, duas leves, três na Engenheiro Thales de Lorena Peixoto Júnior (SP-318) e dois na SP-215, que tem o nome de Professor Paulo Lauro, entre Porto Ferreira e São Carlos, passando por Descalvado, e de Luiz Augusto de Oliveira entre a Cidade da Tecnologia até o Obelisco, centro do Estado de São Paulo, tendo entre o trecho Ribeirão Bonito e Dourado.
De acordo com a Polícia Militar Rodoviária, quanto aos animais soltos nas pistas, as espécies são variadas, mas entre elas geralmente são animais caninos, como cachorros e lobos guará, próximos ao perímetro urbano são os equinos e nos bairros rurais os bovinos.
A Polícia orienta que para evitar esse tipo de acidente, que acontece na maioria das vezes a noite, é importante utilizar os faróis baixos e ter uma visão mais ampla da rodovia, principalmente em locais onde se encontram fazendas e chácaras, nunca frear bruscamente e nem desviar, tentar ao máximo manter a calma.
Outra observação é para nunca parar sobre a faixa de rolamento, se o acidente não foi evitado, sinalizar o local com meios fortuitos, tipo galhos de árvores, triângulo e manter-se longe do veículo, caso tenha defensa metálica proteja-se atrás dela, assim evitando ser atropelado por outro veículo.
Em caso de animais de grande porte ou que sempre estão em grupo, como equinos e bovinos, nunca tente espanta-los, pois a reação instintiva do animal pode causar lesões e até acidentes.
Caso localize o animal solto próximo à rodovia, o motorista deve acionar a Polícia Rodoviária, a concessionária, o Departamento de Estrada de Rodagem (DER), ou mesmo através do numero 190, para que as autoridades possam ser avisadas.
Ainda segundo a Polícia Rodoviária, o proprietário do animal só pelo fato de negligenciar a guarda do bicho já incorre em contravenção penal. Além disso, se o animal vier a causar danos em veículo ou até ferimentos em pessoas, o dono poderá ser responsabilizado.
Acidente – Na madrugada de sábado (12), um violento acidente deixou quatro pessoas feridas por volta das 3h no km 232 da Rodovia Washington Luís (SP-310), próximo ao trevo do Jardim Tangará.
Segundo apurado, o motorista dirigia uma Van Renault prata, de Jaboticabal, no sentido capital/interior quando foi surpreendido pelo animal que estava no meio da pista.
O impacto foi inevitável e a vaca chegou a bater no capô do veículo. O motorista perdeu o controle do veículo e foi parar no acostamento. Ele e mais três ocupantes se feriram levemente e foram socorridos pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) até a Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Carlos, onde foram medicados e liberados. O animal teve morte instantânea.
Veja alguns cuidados a serem tomados:
– Ao avistar animais na pista, a primeira atitude a tomar é reduzir a velocidade e jamais buzinar, para não assustar os bichos.
– Pelo mesmo motivo, você não deve ligar o farol alto nessas situações. Animais assustados podem ter reações inesperadas, o que torna o momento ainda mais imprevisível. Eles também podem ficar paralisados de susto, congestionando a via.
– Ultrapasse os animais que estiverem atravessados na pista sempre por trás, de modo a diminuir a velocidade de reação do animal. Lembre-se: bois e vacas não recuam, diferente dos cavalos, que podem ter reações inesperadas.
– Ao passar por uma boiada ou um outro agrupamento de animais, vá em primeira marcha e lembre-se, nunca buzine. Também feche os vidros por motivo de segurança.
– Diante de animais de pequeno porte (um cachorro, por exemplo), a tendência natural é frear ou desviar bruscamente, principalmente quando se está trafegando em alta velocidade. Antes de qualquer manobra, veja pelo retrovisor se vem algum carro atrás. Um movimento inesperado pode provocar um acidente.
– Após passar por um animal, pisque os faróis para os carros que vierem no sentido oposto e faça um sinal com a mão para baixo, mostrando quatro dedos. Na “linguagem da estrada”, você está avisando que há animais na pista.
