Prefeitura de Ribeirão Bonito realiza ação de saúde nas escolas
Projeto Acuidade Visual distribuiu óculos aos alunos que apresentam alguma dificuldade em enxergar
O Departamento Municipal de Saúde de Ribeirão Bonito entregou nesta semana 57 óculos provenientes do Projeto Acuidade Visual. A ação tem por objetivo o atendimento de crianças em fase escolar, de 5 a 12 anos de idade, que apresentam alguma dificuldade em enxergar.
A a diretora do Departamento Municipal de Saúde, Maria Eliza Lazarini Alboleia destacou a importância da ação. “O objetivo principal do projeto é detectar e diagnosticar de forma precoce doenças, como catarata congênita, estrabismo e miopia em crianças”, explica.
Nesta primeira etapa foram avaliados 315 alunos nas unidades escolares do município. Sessenta e cinco passaram por avaliação Oftalmológica no Centro de Especialidades Municipal (CEM), e destes, 57 estudantes receberam óculos para uso contínuo e correcional da visão dos estudantes. “Desta forma garantimos que as crianças melhorem seu rendimento escolar, uma vez que a saúde visual é muito importante para o aprendizado”, completa Maria Eliza.
