Mais de 40 dias após as eleições municipais ainda é possível encontrar pelos bairros de Ribeirão Bonito placas ou faixas de publicidade dos candidatos espalhadas por terrenos e residências. O prazo para retirada deste tipo de material se encerrou no dia 6 de novembro, um mês após a votação, mas alguns concorrentes descumprem a regra.
De acordo com a lei, o candidato cujo material ainda esteja exposto deve receber uma notificação e retirar as propagandas em até 48 horas. Caso descumpra a determinação, ele pode ser multado ou até detido.
A população pode denunciar. Quem encontrar placas ou faixas de candidatos pela cidade pode fotografá-las e entregar o material no Cartório Eleitoral, localizado na Rua Governador Pedro de Toledo, no Centro, ao lado do Fórum Municipal e em frente a Rodoviária.
A denúncia precisa estar por escrito, com a imagem anexada, e deve ser entregue em duas vias. O cartório se encarregará de intimar o candidato responsável.
