A falta de interesse pelos estudos é um dos problemas mais graves que acomete a qualidade da educação. Na maioria das escolas, o que se vê são estudantes desmotivados, sem interesse em estudar.  Entre 30 e 40 alunos de uma sala, apenas quatro ou cinco demonstram alguma vontade em aprender. E dentro desse quadro, são poucos os professores que sabem como agir para motivar esses alunos.

A situação descrita é uma das razões mais claras para a falta de mão de obra qualificada encontrada hoje no mercado de trabalho. Empresas oferecem vagas com bons salários, mas não conseguem preenchê-las a contento, por falta de colaboradores com formação adequada. Um levantamento feito pelo Cadastro Central de Empresas (Cempre) mostra que 82,9% dos assalariados do país não possuíam curso superior em 2011.

Hoje estudar é uma das alavancas para mais assertivas para ascensão social. De acordo com a pesquisa, o salário de quem tem faculdade é três vezes maior a dos trabalhadores que não têm. Os dados mostram que a média da diferença chegava a 219,4%. A pesquisa reuniu 5,1 milhões de empresas e organizações públicas e privadas e deixa claro que, quanto maior o grau de conhecimento, maior é o salário.

Apesar dos dados recentemente divulgados, o tema não é exatamente tabu ou um grande segredo. Na maioria das comunidades, aqueles que detêm o conhecimento são bem remunerados e bem vistos socialmente. Têm os melhores empregos e desempenham as funções mais nobres. Quem não possui estudo termina competindo em uma faixa de salário mais baixa, que não requer muita qualificação. Segundo a pesquisa, os que não possuíam curso superior tinham uma média salarial de R$ 1.294. Já os 17% que tinham graduação, recebiam por volta de R$ 4.135 mensais.

Portanto, está na hora de os jovens perceberem que quem não se dedicar aos estudos poderá perder uma oportunidade ímpar de se destacar no mercado de trabalho, de conseguir as melhores remunerações e não depender dos subempregos que se avolumam, cada vez mais, nas grandes cidades, sem trazer direitos e benefícios importantes que aum futuro mais promissor.
