Rotary Club busca tecnologias da Embrapa para preservar meio ambiente em Ribeirão Bonito
Atividade inédita e Dia de Campo serão realizados na cidade nesta sexta-feira (19) para a instalação de uma unidade demonstrativa da Fossa Séptica Biodigestora
A preocupação com o meio ambiente está mobilizando o Rotary Club de Ribeirão Bonito, município com pouco mais de 12 mil habitantes na região Central do Estado de São Paulo, para uma atividade inédita. Nesta sexta-feira, dia 19 de setembro, em comemoração ao “Rotary Day”, vai ser realizado um Dia de Campo, em parceria com a Embrapa Instrumentação, de São Carlos, para a instalação de uma unidade demonstrativa da Fossa Séptica Biodigestora.
A tecnologia já conta com mais de seis mil unidades instaladas pelo Brasil, desde 2001, com impactos econômicos, sociais e, principalmente, ambientais, ao deixar de contaminar o lençol freático com o esgoto humano.
De acordo com o advogado Fabio Rohrer Zeraik, presidente do Rotary Club de Ribeirão Bonito, “uma das seis áreas de enfoque que nosso Presidente do Rotary Internacional, Gary C. K. Huang e nossa Governadora Distrital Maria Augusta Freitas Carvalho, solicitam atenção dos mais de 1.206.618 rotarianos no mundo – sendo mais de 55 mil brasileiros, divididos em 38 Distritos e 2.352 Clubes – é a denominada Recursos Hídricos e Saneamento”.
Zeraik destaca que “neste ano Rotário 2014-15, chamado de Ano Luz, pretendemos priorizar a proteção ao meio ambiente, razão pela qual procuramos a parceria da Embrapa para que consigamos divulgar melhor e, em especial, junto às áreas rurais de nosso município, o que é possível fazer para se evitar a contaminação de nosso lençol freático, aliado à solução de baixo custo que a Fossa Séptica Biodigestora proporciona, além de gerar produto que diminuirá as despesas dos produtores com adubação do solo”.
O presidente do Rotary Club de Ribeirão Bonito acrescenta que “a instalação do Jardim Filtrante também tem o mesmo enfoque, ou seja, proteger os Recursos Hídricos e, do Clorador Embrapa, além deste objetivo, ainda se encaixa em outra área de enfoque rotária,Prevenção e Tratamento de Doenças, evitando o consumo de águas possivelmente contaminadas, bem como a proliferação de doenças, como hepatite, diarréia, tifo e giardíase”.
O advogado ressalta a importância de repassar os ensinamentos. “De nada adiantaria apenas um proprietário rural dispender de valores necessários para a instalação dos três sistemas desenvolvidos pela Embrapa se não conseguir multiplicar a informação, ao menos aos seus vizinhos e até mesmo a outros moradores da zona rural de municípios vizinhos, os quais consomem água do mesmo lençol e podem evitar a contaminação deste se tiverem mais informações. Assim, pensamos em realizar o Dia de Campo para aproveitar a oportunidade da instalação na centenária Fazenda São José – Lote Sede, a qual está sendo reformada, já tendo adequado os encanamentos para utilização dos sistemas mencionados, águas de banho e pias separadas das águas do vaso sanitário”, finalizou.
Economia para a sociedade – Os participantes do dia de campo terão a oportunidade de ver uma palestra com o pesquisador Wilson Tadeu Lopes da Silva, da Embrapa Instrumentação de São Carlos, unidade responsável pelo desenvolvimento da tecnologia, sobre os problemas oriundos de fossas rudimentares, as chamadas fossas negras, as consequências para a saúde e os benefícios proporcionados da Fossa Séptica Biodigestora.
Segundo estudo realizado pela pesquisadora da Embrapa Instrumentação, Cinthia Cabral da Costa e pelo professor Joaquim José Martins Guilhoto, da USP, cada R$1,00 investido na instalação da Fossa Séptica Biodigestora, traz como retorno à sociedade um valor aproximado de R$4,60. Isto se deve a vários fatores como redução da demanda pelo sistema público de saúde, diminuição dos dias de trabalho perdidos por afastamento por saúde, maior produtividade agrícola, aumento da renda do produtor, entre outros.
A montagem do sistema – A montagem de um conjunto básico da tecnologia, projetado para uma residência com cinco moradores, é feita com 3 caixas d´água de 1000L (fibrocimento, fibra de vidro, alvenaria, ou outro material que não deforme), tubos, conexões, válvulas e registros. A tubulação do vaso sanitário é desviada para a Fossa Séptica Biodigestora, onde o esgoto doméstico, com o auxílio de um pouco de esterco bovino fresco, é tratado e transformado em adubo orgânico pelo processo de biodigestão anaeróbia.
As caixas devem ficar enterradas no solo para que o sistema tenha um isolamento térmico e, assim, não ocorram grandes variações de temperatura. A quantidade de caixas deve aumentar proporcionalmente ao número de pessoas na família. O custo do material muda conforme a região do Brasil e costuma variar entre R$1.200 e R$1.600.
