Newton e Barba celebram aniversário em festa que reuniu 2 mil pessoas
Raí e Alexandre Padilha, 70 prefeitos e vices, vereadores e autoridades marcaram presença
A tradicional festa que comemora os aniversários do deputado federal Newton Lima e do ex-prefeito Oswaldo Barba foi realizada no último dia 8 de março, Dia Internacional da Mulher. Com cerca de 2 mil pessoas, a festa foi abrilhantada com a presença do ex-jogador de futebol Raí de Oliveira e do ex-ministro da Saúde e atual coordenador da Caravana Horizonte Paulista, Alexandre Padilha.
“Conheci o Newton em 1989 e desde então estamos juntos buscando construir um país melhor”, declarou Padilha, que fez questão de antecipar a volta de uma viagem ao exterior para participar do aniversário. “Foi uma grata surpresa. Só tenho a agradecer ao Padilha pelo esforço que fez em comemorar comigo e com o Barba essa data tão importante para nós”, disse Newton.
O criador da Fundação Gol de Letra e um dos fundadores da ONG Atletas pela Cidadania, Raí de Oliveira, também fez questão de parabenizar o deputado Newton Lima e o ex-prefeito Barba e destacar seu papel como educador.
Dirceu Barbano, presidente da Anvisa; Glaucius Oliva, do CNPq; Targino de Araújo Filho, reitor da UFSCar; José Rubens Rebelatto, da Ebserh; e Gilmar Dominici, do Palácio do Planalto foram parabenizar o deputado e o ex-prefeito. Além dessas presenças ilustres, mais de 70 prefeitos, vice-prefeitos e dezenas de vereadores de diferentes cidades do Estado prestigiaram a festa. Deputados estaduais e representantes de entidades governamentais, empresários e a imprensa, também participaram.
Para o deputado Newton Lima, receber todas essas pessoas foi motivo de orgulho. “É uma honra para mim e para o companheiro Barba recebermos esse carinho tão grande. Estamos aqui com pessoas que vieram de longe para demonstrar o seu apoio e o seu carinho. E ao mesmo tempo estamos em casa, com os nossos familiares e o povo são-carlense”.
Sem perder tempo – Em meio às comemorações, o ex-jogador Raí anunciou uma iniciativa pioneira da Fundação Gol de Letra, que recentemente, em parceria com outras entidades, lançou um curso para formar técnicos na área de esporte, na Vila Albertina, área de atuação da instituição na zona Norte da Capital. Atento a essa importante demanda, o deputado Newton Lima aproveitou a presença do reitor do Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo (IFSP), Eduardo Modena, e lançou a ideia de criação de um curso nestes moldes. Modena e Raí deverão agendar uma reunião para tratar do tema.
